Underwriting Collective the delegated authority underwriting (MGA) division of PIB Group, providing specialist products distributed through brokers, partners and direct to customers. The portfolio comprises a range of niche and specialist propositions, supported by strong underwriting expertise.

This role focuses on optimising digital insurance journeys, particularly quote‑and‑buy, renewals and self‑service experiences working across brands and propositions to drive profitable growth. Proven insurance industry experience is essential. This role is accountable for maximising online conversions and revenue across all Underwriting Collective websites, ensuring each site effectively drives commercial performance and supports wider business objectives.

• Develop a pragmatic optimisation roadmap ensuring changes to insurance journeys support good customer outcomes and regulatory obligations.
• Review end‑to‑end online insurance journeys (quote, buy, renewals, mid‑term changes, claims), identifying issues in UX, question sets, content, and form design.
• Lead structured question set analysis for online insurance journeys, ensuring questions are clear, sequenced logically, aligned to underwriting as well as accessibility needs, and minimising drop‑off and confusion.
• Use a best practice approach for form completion (validation, error messaging, field groupings, and online help) and document clear recommendations for each product journey.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design, assessing journeys against WCAG standards and documenting required changes to make forms and flows usable for all customers.
• Create clear briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria and wireframe‑level specifications so that development capacity is used on the highest‑value changes.
• Monitor performance of digital insurance journeys using analytics and feedback tools (e.g. GA4, Zuko etc), identifying pain points and opportunities.

• Experience in insurance, financial services or other regulated environments;
• Proven experience optimising commercial websites or a multi-site web portfolio;
• Demonstrable track record of improving online conversion and revenue and hands-on experience running A/B and multivariate tests;
• Experience collaborating with sales, product and marketing teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of web UX and UI best practice and conversion rate optimisation methodologies;
• Solid understanding of digital analytics (e.g. GA4) and tagging; Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and their impact on conversion;
• Ability to interpret data and insight to identify issues and opportunities;
