Student Accessibility Advisor

This role coordinates accommodations and provides academic advising for students with disabilities registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS). The advisor works one-on-one with students to implement individualized accommodations and assistive technology, monitors compliance, and also represents SAS through outreach and training activities.

• Process accommodation requests and provide academic advising to students registered with SAS
• Meet with students to coordinate and implement individualized accommodations, determining appropriate assistive technologies and adaptive resources
• Monitor student files for compliance and arrange necessary supports such as interpreters, note-takers, and specialized equipment
• Represent SAS at recruitment and retention events
• Provide orientation and training for faculty and staff
