MUMPS Developer- Veterans Affairs

As a Senior VistA MUMPS Developer, you’ll be responsible for analyzing user business problems to be solved with automated systems. You’ll work directly with client stakeholders alongside a dedicated Data Analyst to formulate and def

ine information system scope and objectives. This role goes beyond coding, you will provide problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and assist with the implementation of systems to meet business, user, and functional requirements. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills who as a functional expert can prepare communications and make presentations on recommendations on system enhancements or alternatives.

Required Qualifications:

· 10\+ year

s of experience with systems, software, process, and data analysis

· VistA MUMPS software development experience/skills

· Experience as a VistA Technical Lead

· Experience with working in VistA environments and related Fileman utilities for MUMPS applications

· Must have VistA Integrated Funds Distribution Control Point Activity, Accounting and Procurement – Generic Inventory Package (IFCAP-GIP) technical analyst and MUMPS development experience

· Knowledge of agile software development

· Knowledge of software and systems design and architectural patterns

· Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs

· Experience with system, data, and requirements analysis, development of technical integrations, and design of proof of concept (POC) solutions

· Ability to communicate directly and clearly with external clients, project stakeholders, and cross-functional team members to include the delivery of oral and written presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

· VA supply chain experience

· Knowledge of Agile frameworks

· SAFe Certifications

· TRM compliance within the VA

· Knowledge of 508 Compliance requirements

Compensation:

The salary is budgeted at $120,000-$130,000 annually, plus benefits. ThunderYard offers benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k matching, PTO, certification reimbursement and more.
