UI Developer Design Systems

Client Server is hiring a UI Developer / Front End Engineer focused on design systems. The role bridges UI design and engineering to build reusable components and consistent customer experiences.

Location: Sunderland, UK with hybrid working (approximately 2-3 days in office).

• Build and evolve reusable UI components and patterns for the design system.
• Own design system architecture and front-end implementation standards.
• Collaborate closely with UI Designers to translate design intent into production-ready components.
• Champion accessibility, responsive design, and front-end best practices across teams.
• Help teams deliver interfaces faster and more reliably through shared standards.

• Experience with modern front-end tools/languages including TypeScript, Vite, Lit, HTML, CSS, PostCSS, and SASS.
• Experience with component-driven architecture.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards including WCAG and ARIA.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Up-to-date awareness of emerging front-end technologies and best practices.
• Experience working in organizations scaling shared design systems across multiple teams.
